In the evaporator, cold refrigerant absorbs heat from the product and boils, providing cooling.

The liquid-vapor mixture returns to the liquid separator. Liquid is pumped back to the evaporators, while vapor flows to the compressor.

The compressor squeezes the vapor into a hot, high-pressure gas.

This hot gas moves to the condenser, where air and  water removes heat and turns it into a high-pressure liquid.

The liquid flows into the receiver for storage, then passes through an expansion valve, which lowers its pressure and controls flow back to the evaporator.
